War condition, pup tent, squad tent and in 3/4 ton weapons carrier. Use our helmet as water container. We were able to get sacks of rice and we took turn cooking our rice with regular GI chow. Bob Hope came to Pyonyang (capital of N. Korea) also Les Brown.

I lost three of my buddies I knew in Tokyo. Served 4 years and saw a good part of the country from July 1950 to July 1951. Returned to Japan to finsih my tour at 441st CID Headquarters.

To be able to serve my country and be lucky to survive the conflict in healthy condition. I enjoyed the sight seeing trips we made in and around Tokyo and visit to the movie studio.
