Shingi Kuniyoshi
Shingi Kuniyoshi nació en Naha, Okinawa. Llegó a los Estados Unidos como estudiante de posgrado en geología en la UCLA en 1962 y obtuvo una maestría y un doctorado. Trabajó para varios departamentos del gobierno estadounidense durante 32 años. En 2007, se retiró del puesto de director del programa medioambiental en la Base Aérea de Kadena, Okinawa. Fue presidente de la OAA en 1997-98 y formó parte de los comités de boletín informativo, becas, historia y celebración del 90 aniversario.

The Okinawa Association of America, Inc. (OAA) is a public benefit, charitable organization. Its mission is to promote the Okinawan culture, to assist in the social and educational benefit of the members, and to contribute to local and international cultural exchanges.
