Both artists reco rded groundbreaking chronicles of their lives in camp\, shining light on t he first person experiences of Japanese American incarcerees. \n\nTeacher s and educators are invited to learn and discuss innovative ways to forefr ont the artistic storytelling of Okubo and Hayami within the teaching of t he Japanese American WWII experience. The workshop will provide an overvie w of both exhibitions and guidelines and techniques for interpreting the a rt and primary sources/ artifacts with students.
