DESCRIPTION:Brightly dyed carp streamers will soon be fluttering above hous
 es in  Japan and many Japanese American homes during the celebration of <e
 m>Kodomo No Hi</em> \, otherwise known as Childlren's Day. In keeping with
  this tradition\, <em>koi</em> streamers will be hung along Fifth Street\,
  leading you to JAMsj during the <a href="http://www.nikkeimatsuri.org/" t
 arget="_blank">Nikkei Matsuri Festival</a> . &nbsp\;Kodomo No Hi is a nati
 onally observed holiday in Japan\, traditionally celebrated on May 5. JAMs
 j will be celebrating Kodomo No Hi with various craft-making workshops. Ch
 ildren can learn how to make <em>kabuto</em> (samurai helmets)\, <em>koino
 bori</em> (carp streamers)\, and other crafts at this popular event.\n\nCo
