 gh public programs - including a symposium. The centerpiece will be a recr
 eation of a cave similar to the ones that Okinawan civilians sought refuge
  from the fierce fighting known as the &ldquo\;Typhoon of Steel.&rdquo\; L
 ocal Okinawans\, including survivors of the Battle and scholars will be fe
 atured in a symposium and other events during the exhibit period.
