Councilmembers Jan Perry and Bernard Parks will join local media partners LA18 and Rafu Shimpu, and the American Red Cross to host an all day fundraiser to support the Japanese earthquake relief effort. Funds will be given to the Japanese Red Cross.

People who wish to donate to the Japan disaster relief fund (via the Red Cross) can simply drive up Main Street (one-way going North) and there will be volunteers with donation baskets taking donations; the sidewalk lanes of Main Street between First Street and Temple will be closed off for the "drive-by" cars.
