 s\, including tuberculosis\, osteoporosis\, Hepatitis B\, Type 2 diabetes\
 , and cancer.</strong>\n<strong>&Acirc\;&bull\; Many of these diseases are
  preventable\, but         go undetected due to lack of visible         sy
 mptoms.</strong>\n<strong>&Acirc\;&bull\; Early detection allows for great
 er treatment         options with higher chances of success. </strong>\n<s
 trong>&Acirc\;&bull\; Regular screenings ensure that common but serious di
 seases are prevented\, detected and/ or treated at their early stages\, an
 d can ultimately save your life.&nbsp\;</strong>\n<strong>Have you been sc
 reened?</strong>\n<strong>The Japanese American Service Committee is offer
 ing discounted health screenings for anyone over age 18. Basic screenings 
 will test for diabetes\, cholesterol levels\, liver and kidney function\, 
 electrolytes (including potassium and calcium)\, iron\, and blood count.</
 strong>\n<strong>These tests are a convenient and low-cost alternative to 
 being tested in a doctor&Acirc\;&rsquo\;s office\, and are a good option f
 or the temporarily unemployed and uninsured.</strong> \n\n----------------
