DESCRIPTION:The Friends of Minidoka (FOM) is working with the National Park
 s Service to develop the Minidoka National Historic Site.  One of their mo
 st important projects is the creation of an Issei Memorial.  The purpose o
 f the Memorial is to honor the courage\, sacrifices\, and perseverance of 
 this first generation of immigrants from Japan who were interned with thei
 r families during World War II.  \n\nThe design team is in the late stages
  of the design process and is seeking input from interested people and org
 anizations.  FOM board members will present the proposed design of the Mem
 orial\, receive input\, and answer questions from 1pm to 3 pm at the Orego
 n Nikkei Legacy Center on November 16\, 2008.  Information regarding the I
