Most vivid memory of military experience
I lost three of my buddies I knew in Tokyo. Served 4 years and saw a good part of the country from July 1950 to July 1951. Returned to Japan to finsih my tour at 441st CID Headquarters.
Missed most whilst in the military
Japanese food during basic training.
Most important thing, personally, to come from military experience?
To be able to serve my country and be lucky to survive the conflict in healthy condition. I enjoyed the sight seeing trips we made in and around Tokyo and visit to the movie studio.
