Everett Lee-Sung, the JANM Getty Intern for the Watase Media Arts Center, raises the first of seven special fukinagashi decorations to the top of the Japanese American National Museum's Pavilion building as part of the 1st Annual Los Angeles Tanabata Festival in Little Tokyo.

The kokeshi motif was inspired by the Museum's exhibition Kokeshi: From Folk Art to Art Toy.
