Black and white silent amateur films by Dave Tatsuno (1913-2006), a businessman in the San Francisco Bay area. Tatsuno's earliest films, taken from August-November 1936 while he was an undergraduate at the University of California, Berkeley, show family, church, and school activities.

This segment (02:52), filmed by Tatsuno's brother Masateru ("Tut"), shows the celebration of the 1936 opening of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge; a title panel reads "The Bay Bridge Fiesta Parade on Market St. Nov 13 1936"; a mounted police color guard; a horseman on a palomino carries a banner, "Ventura County"; former President Herbert Hoover rides in an open limousine with a second unidentified dignitary; a marching band; many elaborate parade floats, including one shaped like an ocean liner, one with pagodas, one with a bridge linking the city halls of San Francisco and Oakland, one with a giant wine glass, and one with an ice floe with skiing penguins; a horse-drawn stagecoach [dark].
