What am I? For the record, my mom is Korean and my dad is Sicilian and Yugoslavian. Off the record, I wonder, why does this have to be what defines me? Why am I consumed with wanting to belong? Is it society that makes me want to associate myself with someone or is it inherant? Either way, I do want to belong but cannot. Most White Americans think I'm Asian and almost all Asians think that I'm White (or Latin). I don't fit in with my family on both sides because I'm the one that stands out. So what am I? The jury is still out on that one.
