DESCRIPTION:The California Legacy Voice Network has scheduled three profess
 ional\n development workshops for teachers and administrators in Region 5\
 n (Santa Clara\, Santa Cruz\, Monterey Counties) at the Japanese American\
 n Museum of San Jose in San Jose's Japantown.\n\nThe free workshops will b
 e held from 9:00am - 12:00pm followed by lunch and tour of the museum:\n S
 aturday\, March 7\, 2015\n Saturday\, August 8\, 2015\n Saturday\, Septemb
 er 19\, 2015\n\nGuest speakers (Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston\, Karen Korematsu
  and others)\n will address four critical stories:\n &middot\; The Califor
 nia&rsquo\;s assembly centers\n &middot\; The Japanese American Internment
 \n &middot\; Fred Korematsu&rsquo\;s story\n &middot\; The family stories 
 of local Legacy Voices\n Participants will receive materials to share with
  students and colleagues\n at their schools and school districts\, thus pr
 eparing them to become\n legacy voices. This Japanese American Confinement
  Sites grant is\n sponsored by the National Park Service\, the Korematsu I
 nstitute for Civil\n Rights and Education\, and the Japanese American Muse
