DESCRIPTION:The Hawaii Nisei Story is  a web-based exploration of the exper
 iences of local Americans of  Japanese  Ancestry leading up to\, during\, 
 and following the Second World War.&nbsp\;  These stories &ndash\; drawn f
 rom oral interviews with veterans of the 100<sup>th</sup> Infantry Battali
 on\, the 442<sup>nd</sup> Regimental Combat Team\, the  1399<sup>th</sup> 
 Engineering Construction Battalion\, the Military  Intelligence  Service\,
  and the Varsity Victory Volunteers &ndash\; are deepened by seldom  heard
  stories of the verterans&rsquo\; wives and families.&nbsp\;\n\n Presenter
