Come join us for Obon Service and Obon Odori! This ancient Buddhist tradition of jonoring past loved ones is a wonderful opportunity for Sangha members, as well as their family and friends, to dress in traditional Japanese clothing and dance to traditional Japanese music to show appreciation for those who have passed away. If is also a wonderful way to celebrate our culture and interact with the community.

This year, we celebrate Obon on Saturday, July 20, 2019. The Obon service will be held at 3:00p.m. Dancing (Obon Odori) will begin at 6:00p.m. in the Pacific Mercantile parking lot. There will be the opportunity to purchase food after service with all proceeds going to the temple.
