Mark your calendars for Kailua Hongwanji's Bon Dance, a night of ono food, our famous andagi, an ikebana display, and dancing around our uniquely decorated yagura. The annual obon season is a special time for families. Together we honor our parents and ancestors through the service and bon dance. Join us for a night of good food, shave ice, andagi, and, of course, dancing! Bon dance practice will be held on Wednesday, 7/25 at 7:00 p.m.

Kailua Hongwanji Mission was established in 1968 at its present location in Kailua, Hawaii. In 2012, through the support and vision of its membership, the original temple was demolished and rebuilt. The new temple was completed and dedicated on February 22, 2014, which coincided with major donor Dorthy Ono's 10th Memorial Anniversary.

Saturday, 7/28 - 6:00 p.m.; bon dancing: 7:00 p.m.
