Taken from the JACCC Website:

"JACCC presents its 2nd annual Remembering Sadako, Folding for Peace, a multi-generational, multi-ethnic event that will promote peace through children, arts, and culture. The event pays tribute to Sadako, who was two years old when the atomic bomb was dropped on August 6, 1945, near her home in Hiroshima, Japan. Sadako and her story of a thousand origami cranes have become inter-

national symbols for peace for children around the world. Program events include:

Friday, August 1
Sand Mandala for Peace ceremony

Saturday, August 2
Concert for Peace: Melissa Manchester

Sunday, August 3
Call for PeaceOrigami workshops, storytelling by Grateful Crane Ensemble, and completion of the Sand Mandala for Peace
