We are fortunate to once again have a two-day workshop to further explore shibori and indigo. Various types of vats will be used, vat making instructions to be presented, and a swatch sheet made with various fabrics. Additionally, we will work on stitched shibori as well as itajime and even try our hand at shirokage or “white shadow” shibori. Everyone will leave with a nicely varied collection of their own hand-dyed indigo shibori.

$70 members; $90 non-members, an additional $45 materials fee (cash only) will be collected at the beginning of class, admission is included. RSVP early, 24 students max.

Reservations recommended to rsvp@janm.org or 213.625.0414 at least 48 hours prior.
