The next meeting of the Little Tokyo Historical Society of Los Angeles, California will take place on Saturday March 22nd at 10am in the Nerio Education Center at the Japanese American National Museum. One of the central missions of LTHS is collecting and preserving materials on Little Tokyo’s past, and in that spirit we will be having a collection day!

Do you have old photographs, documents, or books related to Little Tokyo history? Please bring them in – we will digitally scan the materials so they can be preserved, and you retain the originals. If you like, we can even post the scans to the LTHS collection on the Discover Nikkei website so they can be shared around the world.

Do you have fond and funny memories of Little Tokyo? What about stories that your parents or grandparents told you? Please share them – we can record and write down these stories so they are preserved for future generations of Japanese Americans.

We will also have updates on new and ongoing projects, including LTHS participation in Nikkei Community Day and the nomination of the Aoyama Tree as a city Cultural-Historic Monument.

So please tell your friends and bring your photo albums –
And join us on the 22nd!!
