DESCRIPTION:Food is often at the heart of a memorable occasion. It can refl
 ect cultural and family traditions\, creating fond experiences and unforge
 ttable stories. From a recipe passed down through generations\, to a whipp
 ed-together meal that becomes the family favorite\, or a special treat rar
 ely indulged upon but always savored\, there are stories behind each and e
 very cherished delicacy. L.A. Storytellers (a collaboration between Active
  Arts at the Music Center and the award-winning Cornerstone Theater Compan
 y) invite you to indulge in food non-fiction and share your tasty tales.\n
 \nThis program is intended for non-professional/recreational storytellers 
 in the greater Los Angeles area.  No prior experience is necessary\; you m
 ust be at least 18 years old to participate.\n\nSubmit your story by Febru
 ary 4\, 2008\, using the <a href="http://www.musiccenter.org/events/aa_las
 tory.html">online submission form</a>.  If your story is selected\, you ma
 y be invited to participate in a two-day story sharing workshop on Februar
 y 16 and March 8 (9am-2pm on both days). Working with and guided by Corner
 stone Theater's professional facilitators\, directors\, writers\, and acto
 rs\, participants weave the stories together and at the process' end\, sha
 re with friends\, family\, and invited guests.\n\nThere is no fee required
