Isao Ito
Painter (b.1938)
Born in Kawagoe City, near Tokyo. Active as a commercial artist, running an art studio called 'Exhibition Design Studio'. He was involved in numerous design projects, including Okinawa Ocean Expo, Kobe Portopia, Tsukba Expo, and Expo '86 in Vancouver. For his design work he received several awards from the Japan Display Design Association.
Closed his design studio and relocated to Vancouver in 1988. Travels extensively in British Columbia, Alaska, Mexico, and Portugal, and returns frequently to Japan.
