Profile of research by Japanese social worker Eriko Yamashita on social welfare among the aging community of Nikkei in Argentina. Her two-year project was undertaken as part of the JICA Senior Volunteer for Japanese Latin American Societies Program. The program covers three major fields: Japanese language education, public health and social welfare, and agriculture; and operates in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, Mexico, and the Republic of Dominica.
