Roy T. Ito
Roy "Leroy" Ito nasceu em 1º de setembro de 1929 em Los Angeles, Califórnia. Em abril de 1942, ele e sua família foram evacuados e enviados para Santa Anita Assembly Center, Arcadia, Califórnia e, mais tarde naquele ano, para Amache Relocation Center, Granada, Colorado. Retornando a Los Angeles em 1945, concluiu o ensino médio e se formou na UCLA em 1951 e mais tarde recebeu o título de mestre em administração pública pela USC. Ele trabalhou em vários cargos administrativos no governo do condado de Los Angeles por 33 anos e se aposentou em 1987. Ele serviu como voluntário no Museu Nacional Nipo-Americano por vários anos, coletando histórias orais para vários projetos de museus, principalmente a história dos japoneses no Indústria de produção de Los Angeles.

Naotaro Ito was born in 1886 as a second son to a rice farming family in Kitsuneji, a tiny rural hamlet in Aiichi Prefecture, near Nagoya, Japan.
