 t forced all Japanese Americans from the West Coast and lead to their mass
  incarceration during World War II. His subsequent challenge to the Consti
 tutionality of his forced removal became the basis of the landmark\, Korem
 atsu v. United States Supreme Court Case.\n\nToday\, with the lessons of F
 red Korematsu&rsquo\;s life more relevant than ever\, Laura Atkins and Sta
 n Yogi will speak about their new book for youth\, Fred Korematsu Speaks U
 p\, which tells the story of Fred Korematsu and his stand against the viol
 ation of his Constitutional rights.\n\nLaura Atkins is a children&rsquo\;s
  book author\, editor\, and instructor. Stan Yogi is coauthor of Wherever 
 There&rsquo\;s a Fight: How Runaway Slaves\, Suffragists\, Immigrants\, St
 rikers\, and Poets Shaped Civil Liberties in California and worked as a st
 aff member of the Northern California ACLU for many years.\n\nBoth authors
  are on a book tour sponsored by the ACLU of Northern California\, and the
  appearance at JAMsj is co-sponsored by the Santa Clara Valley Chapter of
