 t\, for the  premiere of his new film\, <em><strong>Prisoners and Patriots
 </strong> </em> \, which documents the  Department of Justice internment c
 amp in Santa Fe as well as the  internment experience in Lordsburg and For
 t Stanton in the state&rsquo\;s  south. From 1942 to 1946 (six months afte
 r the war&rsquo\;s end)\, the Santa Fe  camp held more than 4\,500 men &nd
 ash\; mostly community leaders\, teachers\,  Buddhist ministers and others
  &ndash\; people who the U.S government most  feared would organize Japane
 se loyalty during World War II.\n \n A  conversation with the filmmaker wi
 ll follow the screening. Held on  Friday\, April 22\, at 6:30pm and again 
 on Saturday\, April 23\, at 1:30pm  at the University of Oregon in Portlan
 d\, Room 142/44. Free and open to  the public. Hosted by the Osher Lifelon
 g Learning Institute at the  University of Oregon in Portland.
