DESCRIPTION:<p style="MARGIN: 0px">The first annual&nbsp\;<strong>Asian Ame
 rican Jazz Festival&nbsp\;</strong>aims to be the world's premiere festiva
 l celebrating the&nbsp\;creative and innovative artistic visions and achie
 vements of Asian American and Asian jazz artists from&nbsp\;around the wor
 ld. Although all artists come from different experiences\, their interconn
 ected identities&nbsp\;unite them through a common musical medium to creat
 e a unique\, expressive\, and culturally&nbsp\;relevant Asian American art
 istic voice.&nbsp\;\n\nHeadlining the 3-day event are Japanese piano sensa
 ton\, Hiromi\, Filipino singing stars\,&nbsp\;Charmaine Clamor and Mon Dav
 id\, and critically- acclaimed Korean band\, Prelude.&nbsp\;\n\nThe festiv
 al will feature 12 Asian American and Asian artists throughout two days of
  music at&nbsp\;Cafe Metropol on Friday and Saturday. The main event wil b
 e held at the Japanese American&nbsp\;National Museum's Democracy Forum am
