Members of Koyasan's Eiyu-Kai chant Goeika Poetry accompanied by Revs. Shinyu Sato and Taisen Miyata under the Aoyama Tree planted at the site of their mission's original temple. On July 17, 2008, the City of Los Angeles dedicated the tree as a living Historic Cultural Monument.
