This video was presented at the colloquium titled "Why History" at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at the Universidad Autónoma de México in Mexico City on October 10th 2018 by Jumko Ogata, a 4th year student of the Latin American Studies undergraduate program. It details her current research on Japanese immigration to Mexico during the first years of the XXth century to the state of Veracruz, particulary to a town called Otatitlán, and how nikkei identity is an axis of this regions diversity.
