“This painting is from sketches I made from a demolition site. Housing was being torn down for Lincoln Center. One of the sketches was purchased and appeared in the Lincoln Center bulletin. The painting has an abstract quality – a building being torn down. What was taken down is in the foreground. I saw the site in the evening after the workers had left. It was still light out. It had an abstract quality to it.”
