トーマス・J・ラベンチャーは、ミネソタ州セントポールに拠点を置くアジア系英語週刊紙「アジアン・アメリカン・プレス」の編集長です。発行部数は15,000部です。1997年より同紙でライターとして、また関連非営利団体で勤務し、2001年に編集長に就任しました。2008年にはミネソタ州インターナショナルフォールズにある「デイリー・ジャーナル」のスタッフライターとしても勤務し、現在は2011年7月にハワイ州カウアイ島にある日刊紙「ガーデン・アイランド」で働く準備をしています。当面は引き続きアジアン・アメリカン・プレスの運営に協力します。1997年にウィスコンシン大学スペリオル校を卒業し、政治学とジャーナリズムの学位を取得。米陸軍の退役軍人でもあります。
