キャンディス・シカイは現在 UCLA の学部 4 年生で、アジア太平洋連合のディレクターを務めています。アジア太平洋連合は、キャンパス内の 21 のアジア系アメリカ人および太平洋諸島系学生組織の連合で、これらのコミュニティ内での擁護と活動を推進しています。連合はまた、コミュニティと学生のニーズに応じて、文化、社会、教育、およびさまざまな政治問題にも取り組んでいます。2 年目の APC スタッフとして、彼女は 2007 年 3 月に AAPI UC データを分類する Count Me In キャンペーンの立ち上げに協力し、2007 年 11 月に完了させました。キャンディスは、UCLA の National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum および Kyodo Taiko にも関わっています。
