ロナルド・ベックウィズは、1989 年から国立公園局の考古学者として働いています。マサチューセッツ州スプリングフィールド生まれで、1981 年にアリゾナ大学で人類学の学士号を取得しました。国立公園局に入局する前は、アリゾナ州ツーソンのアリゾナ州立博物館で 9 年間勤務しました。マンザナー移住センターでの勤務に加え、ロナルドはミニドカ移住センターとポストン移住センターでも勤務しており、この冬はハワイのホノウリウリでのプロジェクトに参加する予定です。

Manzanar Relocation Center, in Owen’s Valley, California, is unique among relocation centers for the number of community gardens that were designed and built by the internees during their incarceration.
