A number of <strong>secondhand Japanese books and some English books\, LPs\, cassette tapes\, and VHS tapes will be available at great prices.</strong> Highlights include <strong>Japanese children&rsquo\;s books\, history books\, and older editions.</strong>&nb sp\;<em>(Note: Most of the books are not Okinawa-focused)</em>\n<strong></ strong>\n\nThere will also be <strong>snacks for sale including baked good s</strong> (while supplies last).\n\nDevelopment for the OAA Charles M. an d Yoshiko Kamiya Library began in 2001. It has since become the only one o f its kind in the greater Los Angeles area\, hosting a rare collection of Japanese and English language materials focusing on the Okinawan culture\, history\, and diaspora. The space is also used for the organization&rsquo \;s weekly computer classes for senior citizens. Access to the library and computer classes are benefits of the OAA&rsquo\;s annual membership.\n\nO AA Librarian Monica Solis and a small group of volunteers are leading the fundraising efforts for much-needed renovations and repairs. Their weekly activities include organizing the collection\, cleaning and repairing book s and LPs\, and building a library database.\n\nThe rummage sale will take place on June 9\, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.\, in the OAA Center&rsquo\;s parking lot.
