 ogram of three new documentary pieces with original music produced for bro
 adcast on public radio and for live performance throughout Oregon\, featur
 ing the stories of three exceptional Oregonians coming from minority commu
 nities who achieved great things. Oregon Stories is a project of the Portl
 and Jazz Composers Ensemble.\n\nThe three performances tell the story of&n
 bsp\;<strong>George Akiyama</strong>\, a Hood River resident threatened wi
 th violence after serving in World War II &ndash\; and a fellow citizen wh
 o stepped forward to support him\, as told by historian Linda Tamura &ndas
