DESCRIPTION:The Little Tokyo Library Quilters Annual Quilt Show on Saturday
 \, Aug. 18\, promises to be better than ever\, featuring many beautiful ne
 w quilts sewn this past year as well as a large assortment of craft items\
 , Asian fat quarters\, and non-Asian fabrics.\n\nMany Asian-themed t-shirt
 s and several quilts ideal for gift giving will also be on display. The sh
 ow will be held from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at the Union Church at 401 E. Third
  Street (corner of San Pedro and Third).&nbsp\; Free parking in the church
  parking lot will be available during the show.\n\nThe Quilters have outdo
 ne themselves with this year&rsquo\;s spectacular Manji Raffle Quilt\, an 
 intricate and colorful creation based on the &ldquo\;manji&rdquo\; design\
 , a Buddhist symbol.&nbsp\; Raffle tickets can be purchased at the show fo
 r $2 each or 3 for $5.&nbsp\; They may also be purchased from Friends of t
 he Little Tokyo Branch Library board members or Quilters.&nbsp\; All proce
 eds from the raffle tickets and Quilt Show will go to the LTB Library for 
 the purchase of various Japanese cultural materials and library programs.\
 n\nThe Quilters meet on alternate Friday mornings from 10:00 to11:30 a.m. 
 at the LTB Library\, where they work on the Raffle Quilt throughout the ye
 ar\, exchange quilting ideas\, and share their latest creations.\n\n<stron
