DESCRIPTION:The Nikkei Women's Legacy Association will host an sponsor "An 
 Evening with Mario Reyes\, Photographer\," a special program to honor a fr
 iend of the Japanese American community who is the photo editor of the Jap
 anese American bilingual newspaper\, the <em>Rafu Shimpo</em>.\n\nMr. Reye
 s has adopted the Japanese community and\, with his camera\, he has been t
 he community's historian for the past 22 years. His devotion and love of t
 he Japanese American community here is the focus of a new documentary shor
 t film entitled\, "More Than 1\,000 Words\," produced and directed by Step
 hen Nagano.\n\nThe film and a retrospective of Mr. Reyes' photos from 1989
  to the present will be shown on the screen at the National Center for the
  Preservation of Democracy Forum Theater at the Japanese American National
  Museum on July 12\, 2012. Following the program\, we will have a receptio
 n offering desserts\, coffee\, and tea in the Democracy Lab.\n\n<strong>Th
