Join Japanese-language students and native Japanese speakers at this informal gathering to practice Japanese and English! Anyone with some Japanese and English language experience is welcome to attend. 
This Nihongo Chat + J-Culture event will feature a special, 30-minute presentation and demonstration of nihon buyo (Japanese classical dance) by Sachiyo Ito. Nihon buyo originated in the 17th century (early Edo period) and has origins in kabuki theater. Instruments such as the koto and shamisen accompany the dance, as well as complex costumes and decorations.
