Jadite Galleries is pleased to present Contemporary Evolution Theory, a solo exhibition by KROUD on view from November 1 through November 5 at Jadite Galleries, 413 West 50th Street, New York City, with an opening reception for the artist on Thursday, November 3, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. KROUD’s third solo exhibition in New York will showcase his most recent paper-cutting works from Modern Theory of Evolution, in which he intentionally layers black and white papers to depict insects and animals to underline the coexistence of living organisms and human-made machines. The fusion of the inorganic and the organic reveals the fragility and beauty of the modern world we live in, as in Darwin’s words when he referred to his work: “We are in a new phase of evolution mediated by machines.” 

11月1日よりヘルズキッチンのジャダイトギャラリーズにて、現代美術家KROUDによる個展Contemorary Evolution Theoryを開催します。 KROUDは切り絵の技法を通じ『空間』の可視化を表現するアーティストであり、今回でニューヨークで三回目となる個展では、昆虫や動物などを白と黒の紙を重ね機械的に表現した12点を展示します。生物と機械が混生する現代において、無機物と有機物の同時実現は現代社会のもつ脆さと美しさを投影した世界をぜひご堪能ください。KROUDは国立新美術館や高島屋美術画廊などでの作品発表に加え、新エコールド・パリ美術展入選、欧州美術ポルトガル美術展に特別推薦された実力派アーティストです。オープニングレセプションには作家も在廊します。皆様のご来場をお待ちしています。
