GENERATIONS OF ACTION: A COMMUNITY CELEBRATES AND LOOKS FORWARD
Beginning in 1980, the Japanese American Historical Society of Southern California (JAHSSC) presented their first public programs, introducing many residents of the South Bay and the greater Los Angeles area to Japanese American history and culture.

After decades of great educational programming, the JAHSSC is retiring as an organization with this final program. As we move forward, we'll take a look at a handful of the many initiatives and projects in the active Japanese American community through this program. It will feature a dynamic program of speakers, video excerpts and a forward-thinking round table discussion of 3 generations of community based educators, activists and artists. Join us and learn about some of the many projects, networks and organizations to support as we grow into the future and extend our sense of community engagement.

Confirmed speakers include: Allan Aquino, Evelyn Yoshimura, Glenn Omatsu, Iku Kiriyama, Karen Ishizuka, Kristin Fukushima, Sean Miura, Tad Nakamura, and Traci Kato-Kiriyama.
