DESCRIPTION:The 2nd Worldwide Uchinanchu Conference will be held in Sao Pau
 lo\, Brazil August 22 to 25\, 2008\, concurrently with the 100 year Brazil
  Centennial Celebration and the 12th WUB International Conference. Argenti
 na will also be celebrating their 100 year centennial at about the same ti
 me.\n\nThe 1st worldwide Uchinanchu Conference was held in Hawaii August 2
 9 to September 2\, 2003. This was the first time Uchinanchu worldwide gath
 ered together outside of Okinawa. Over 2\,000 from outside Hawaii attended
 .\n\nThe Worldwide Uchinanchu Festivals in Okinawa have been a tremendous 
 success. Unfortunately it is held every five years. Many have expressed an
  interest to gather together more often. The Worldwide Uchinanchu Conferen
 ce was established to provide an opportunity for Uchinanchu worldwide to g
 ather outside of Okinawa between the Worldwide Uchinanchu Festival in Okin
