Nikkei Should Stand for Equality by Voting No on Prop 8
I just read an article on The Rafu Shimpo website. It was contributed to the Rafu and published under their Vox Populi series. The author is a Sansei from Oakland who is the co-author of an upcoming book about the history of civil liberties in California. After 9/11, the Japanese American WWII experience became relevant again. Now, another older JA issue has a connection to current events -- the issue of gay marriages recalls the antimiscegenation laws that legally prevented Nikkei from marrying Caucasians in California and elsewhere in the U.S. VOX POPULI By STAN YOGI Clique Iniciar Sessão ou Registar-se para colocar comentários
