Taiko Center of the Pacific Fellowship
Contact: (Honolulu, HI) Taiko Center of the Pacific, a school of traditional and contemporary Japanese drumming based in Honolulu, Hawaii, is now accepting applications for the 2008-2009 Taiko Center of the Pacific Fellowship. The Fellowship was begun in 2003 to offer taiko practitioners an opportunity to study taiko in Honolulu with one of the leading taiko artists in the United States, Kenny Endo, and members of the Kenny Endo Taiko Ensemble. Applicants must be between the ages of 18-35 and have at least three years taiko experience or taiko experience combined with another performing art. The Fellowship begins in Summer 2008 and requires a one-year commitment. Applications must be postmarked by April 2, 2008. If interested, the application is available on-line at: www.taikoarts.com.
