The Web Marketing Association has announced the winners of its tenth annual WebAward Competition for Web site development. More than 2,400 sites from 40 countries were adjudicated in 96 industry categories during this year's competition. Entries were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology.

Discover Nikkei has just been recognized by the Web Marketing Association's WebAward with a Non-Profit Standard of Excellence. As a winner, the site is listed in the WebAward's winners database.

The non-profit category is, by far, the most competitive in the WebAwards. The term non-profit is used fairly broadly. The Best Non-Profit Website winner is a web project called "Singing Cowpoke" produced for thetruth.com (anti-smoking campaign). Many of the winners include large charities, associations, and other organizations. Not all sites that enter win an award.

A complete list of the winning sites can be found at the WebAward Web site at www.webaward.org/winners.asp. Search by category to find all of the non-profit category winners.
