Greetings from Brazil (even thought I`m in Japan right now...)

Hi all,

I`ve just found this site and even thought I didn`t have time to go through everything there`s in here, I thought it was a good initiative.

Being a 3rd gen nikkei and living in Japan, besides working in a Brazilian publishing house that is specialized in Japanese culture, are things that make me more than interested in this subject.

As some of you may know 2008 will be the Centenary of the Japanese Immigration to Brazil, and things are getting pretty busy there. Here in Japan the government has also started a committee to organize the celebrations.

I hope we can exchange some experiences.

I´m from the Museu Histórico da Imigração Japonesa no Brasil(MHIJB),we´re one of the site affiliates. It´s good to know that you found this web site. This site is amazing, you can find many information on Nikkei and talk and discuss issues with Nikkei from all over the world. Here on Brazil many institutions are planning events for the Centenary of Japanese Imigration, The Museum for example is planing a photograph exibition that will travel through Brazil. What about this commition from the government fot the celebrations.
