(mixed) Asians and Hip Hop music

There's an article on the EurasiaNation.com site that highlights the "Dilemma of Mixed Asians in Hip Hop." Writer Tom Melesky brings up interesting points of Hip Hop music being socially confined to people of African American descent.
The article is four years old and, to me, still hot off the press.
