Invitation to a Veterans' Day Tribute (Seattle, WA)
Veterans' Day Tribute to Japanese American World War II Veterans U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye and General Richard Myers, recently retired Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will be the speakers at a special Veterans' Day tribute to Japanese American World War II veterans. The event will be at Meany Hall, University of Washington at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2005. The focus of the event will be the valuable contributions made in Europe and the Pacific by Japanese American soldiers during World War II. This event is hosted by Densho: The Japanese American Legacy Project. Major sponsors for the event are the Seattle Nisei Veterans Committee and the Boeing Company. Seating is limited and a full house is expected. Admission to the program is free but will require a ticket. Please fill out the form below and send to Densho to request your free ticket. Tickets will be distributed in mid-October. It is important that you list the names of Japanese American World War II veterans who are in your party.
