The Nichi Bei Times' current special issue (May 15 issue) includes 24 (printed) pages celebrating the diverse heritage of the community. There's quite a number of articles that sound really interesting that I hope to read more closely, but here's a few that caught my eye at a quick glance:

What's Hapa'ning* in Huancayo, Peru?
by Steven Masami Ropp - a California Hapa now living in Peru

Cherry Blossom Pink and Forty Shades of Green?
by Rebecca Chiyoko King-O'Riain - a Hapa woman originally from Chicago living in Ireland

There are many more articles about a variety of different topics from or about the Hapa perspective and role within the community including sports, food, culture, the founder of a blog, a novelist, an activist, a film, entertainment list, resources and a poll conducted by the newspaper.
