I seem to have similar problems remembering things. My short-term memory tends to be pretty sad, and I don't know that my long-term memory is that much better. Although, my memory lapses also seems to be selective...I just wish that I had some choice in what gets selected. I am particularlybad with dates, names, places,...basic details. I'm much better with concepts and stories.
