New Otani Hotel in Los Angeles changes to Kyoto Grand Hotel & Gardens

The New Otani Hotel & Garden in Little Tokyo is no more. The change in ownership became effective November 30, 2007. It is now officially the Kyoto Grand Hotel & Gardens (although it's kind of funny that it's the Kyoto in Little Tokyo). About $8 million worth of improvements have been made in the last 18 months with more planned to make it more upscale.

Hopefully the new owners will be able to restore some life and luster to the place. The New Otani had been going downhill for years.
