George Suyeoka was fifteen years old on his paper delivery route in Honolulu, Hawai'i when Japanese planes attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Growing up a fan of aircraft, George was excited with what he thought was a routine practice that morning. He continued his deliveries as aircraft shells fell from the sky. It didn't occur to him, until he returned home that morning, that Pearl Harbor was being attacked.
